Full job description

Are you an experienced care professional looking for your next step? You should already be an experienced Senior Carer for this role, ideally within a domiciliary care setting but this isn't essential. Do you love leading by example, supporting others to succeed, and making a real difference to people's lives every day?

We're looking for a Care Team Leader to join our friendly, professional, and supportive team. We work hard, laugh together, and genuinely care about both our clients and our colleagues. If you're someone who enjoys building relationships, inspiring others, and isn't afraid to roll up your sleeves and provide hands-on care, we'd love to hear from you.

What you'll be doing

This is a varied and rewarding role where no two days are the same. You'll play a key part in ensuring our clients receive exceptional care while supporting and developing our team of caregivers.

Your responsibilities will include:

Carrying out regular support visits with caregivers, providing coaching, guidance, and support
Completing competency assessments to ensure high standards of care and compliance
Leading care plan reviews for your allocated client base, ensuring care remains person-centred and responsive to changing needs
Updating care plans and risk assessments accurately and in a timely manner
Hosting engaging team meetings based on audit findings, support visit feedback, and quality improvements
Monitoring quality and identifying opportunities to continually improve our service
Providing hands-on care and leading by example
Participating in the on-call rota, supporting both clients and colleagues outside of normal working hours
Working closely with the management team to maintain excellent standards of care and compliance

About you

We're looking for someone who has the confidence to lead, the compassion to care, and the personality to fit into our fantastic team.

You'll ideally have:

Experience in a senior care role
Leadership and communication skills
Experience completing care documentation, care plans, and risk assessments
A passion for developing and supporting others
Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills
A flexible approach and willingness to provide direct care as part of the role
A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle, as travel across our rural communities is essential
Experience in holding an out of hours role for a care provider
