Full job description

We are a friendly and growing firm of Chartered Accountants based in Gosport, providing accountancy, taxation and business advisory services to a wide range of clients, including sole traders, partnerships and limited companies.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our team as a Trainee Accountant. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to begin a career in accountancy whilst studying towards their AAT qualification with full support from the practice. This is an office based role.

The job role will include under supervision:

Bookkeeping and preparation of VAT returns for clients
Preparing accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies
Assisting in the preparation of self assessment tax returns
Processing monthly/weekly payroll for clients
Communicating with staff and clients by telephone, email and in person
General office administration, including answering telephones and greeting clients as required

Annual leave is 35 days on a full time basis. The role is Monday to Friday with no weekends.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Apprenticeship

Pay: £15,600.00-£25,000.00 per year
