Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Plant Operator Co-ordinator to oversee daily plant operations and ensure efficient production processes. The ideal candidate will possess strong organisational skills, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to manage a team effectively. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to contribute to a dynamic manufacturing environment while developing their leadership capabilities.
We are seeking a proactive and organised Plant Operators Coordinator to support the day-to-day allocation of plant operators and provide administrative support to the hire desk team. The successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing and scheduling plant operators, processing timesheets, , and ensuring accurate database of plant operators are maintained.
Key Responsibilities
- Source, coordinate, and schedule plant operators to meet customer requirements.
- Maintain database of plant operators, ensuring that their availability and details of which machines they can operate is kept up to date.
- Initiate recruitment drives for plant operators to add to the company database
- Regularly communicate with plant operators who are working for the Company, or who have worked for the Company in recent months
- Liaise with clients, operators, and site managers regarding bookings and work schedules.
- Collect, review, and process operator timesheets accurately and on time.
- Ensure all documentation received is accurate, complete, and filed correctly.
- Handle general administrative duties including emails, phone calls, and reporting.
- Provide general administrative support to hire team as well as providing cover for absence.
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience in an administration, operations, scheduling, or coordination role.
- Experience processing timesheets and invoicing.
- Strong organisational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Confident communicator with the ability to build relationships with operators and clients.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook.
- Experience within construction, plant hire, transport, logistics, or related industries is desirable.

This role is ideal for someone with strong administrative experience who enjoys coordinating people and ensuring operational processes run smoothly.
Working hours : Monday to Friday (8am til 5pm) - 42.5 hours per week
Holidays : 23 days plus public holidays per annum
Pay: Up to £32,500.00 per year
