Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a Cake Decorator to join our Award Winning business on a part-time basis. The ideal candidate will have a passion for baking and cake decoration, with experience in food preparation. Applicants should be organised, reliable, and enthusiastic about delivering high-quality products to our customers.

Duties

Decorate cakes and baked goods according to customer specifications and company standards
Prepare cake fillings, icings, and decorative elements using food-safe techniques
Assist in the preparation of baked goods, ensuring consistency and quality in presentation
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the decorating area in compliance with food safety regulations
Collaborate with team members to ensure timely production
Monitor stock levels of decorating supplies and inform management when replenishment is needed
Ensure all decorations are finished to a high standard

Skills

Proven experience in food production, food preparation, or baking within a bakery
Strong knowledge of cake decorating techniques and tools
Familiarity with food safety standards and hygiene practices
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
Good organisational skills
Flexible with regards hours of work in line with the needs of the business

Worktime: Monday to Friday 9am to approx 1pm

No Sundays and no evening work. Rate of pay will depend on experience.

Pay: £13.00-£14.00 per hour

Work Location: In person
