Reporting to: Accounting Manager
Contract: Full-Time (37.75 hours)
Working Hours: Monday–Thursday 8:00am–4:30pm, Friday 8:00am–2:00pm
Global Business Services (GBS) delivers high-quality accounting and transactional services across Terex’s global operations. With a presence in six countries worldwide, GBS plays a critical role in driving financial excellence and consistency across the business.
As a Financial Accountant, you’ll be a key member of the GBS Accounting team, gaining broad exposure across financial reporting, controls, and business partnering.

Preparing and posting journal entries, reconciliations, and financial analysis

Supporting the month-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate reporting

Managing general ledger accounts, including inventory, fixed assets, and bank reconciliations

Performing intercompany accounting and reconciliations (AR, AP, loans)
-
Supporting cash and FX forecasting processes
-
Assisting in the preparation of UK statutory accounts
-
Ensuring compliance with SOX, internal controls, and corporate procedures

Driving process improvements and efficiencies

Responding to internal and external stakeholder queries with a strong customer focus

Newly qualified or 1 year PQE as a ACCA / ACA / CIMA / ICAEW accountant

Experience in general accounting, financial reporting, or audit

Exposure to financial systems (Oracle experience beneficial but not essential)

Knowledge of UK GAAP

Strong technical accounting knowledge with keen attention to detail

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Highly organised with the ability to meet deadlines
