About CarerCore

CarerCore is building a new way for people to access care at home.

We are not just another care agency. We are launching a modern care platform that helps families find and arrange trusted care in their local area, while giving carers the opportunity to work closer to home, access flexible rota options, and be part of a more supportive, technology-led care model.

Our platform allows people who need care to start with their postcode, explore local care options, and arrange support more easily. Behind the platform is a real care team, real training, real support and directly employed care workers who make the difference every day.

As part of our launch across the Armagh, Banbridge and Craigavon area, we are now building a strong team of Community Care Companions to support older people, vulnerable adults and families in their own homes.

The Role

As a Community Care Companion, you will provide friendly, reliable and person-centred support to people living at home.

This role is about more than care tasks. It is about companionship, dignity, trust and helping people remain independent in the place they know best, their own home.

Depending on the needs of the person, your role may include:

Companionship and emotional support
Helping with daily routines
Light meal preparation
Medication prompts
Support with mobility and safe movement
Personal care, where required and trained
Light household support
Supporting appointments, shopping or community access
Reporting any changes or concerns to the CarerCore team
Delivering care with kindness, patience and professionalism

We are looking for people who are:

Able to work independently in the community

Willing to complete training and follow care plans
Comfortable using basic mobile technology for rotas and updates
Able to protect confidentiality and treat people with dignity

Previous care experience is welcome, but it is not always essential. The right attitude, reliability and willingness to learn are just as important.

This role may suit experienced carers, people returning to care, parents looking for part-time hours, semi-retired individuals, students in health and social care, or anyone with a naturally caring personality who wants meaningful work in their local community.

NISCC registration, where applicable
CarerCore onboarding and platform training

A full driving licence and access to a vehicle is preferred, especially for community visits across the Armagh, Banbridge and Craigavon area.
