Fusion Joinery are a bespoke joinery and timber frame home manufacturer based in Killingworth, delivering high-quality residential and commercial projects across the North of England. We work on a range of developments, including large-scale housing developments, self-build projects and commercial construction, providing tailored solutions with a focus on quality, craftsmanship and reliability.
Due to continued growth and expansion, we are looking for an experienced Mobile Crane Operator to join our growing team, based out of Newcastle and covering the North East of England. Applications from both employed and self-employed operators will be considered.
We are looking for a hardworking, reliable and flexible individual with a positive attitude who takes pride in their work and can build strong working relationships with colleagues, clients and contractors.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive mobile crane to and from sites across the North East
- Safely and efficiently operate a mobile crane to lift and position loads
- Load and unload materials using the correct equipment and lifting techniques
- Accurately interpret lifting plans and lifting instructions
- Follow authorised routes for abnormal loads
- Work in line with Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS)
- Carry out vehicle inspections and routine maintenance checks
- Report defects and maintain accurate records
- Complete timesheets, job sheets, mileage and fuel records
- Ensure compliance with company procedures, health & safety standards and road traffic regulations
- Work alongside signallers and slingers to ensure safe and efficient lifting operations
- Carry out deliveries and support transport requirements when mobile crane operations are not scheduled
- Assist with other operational duties and general business requirements as needed to support day-to-day activities
Requirements
Essential:
- CPCS Blue Competent Operator Card
- Category C HGV Licence
- Minimum 2 years’ Mobile Crane Operator experience
- Previous HGV driving experience
- Good understanding of safety procedures and regulations
- Strong communication and time management skills
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Flexible approach to work and willingness to support wider business operations
- UK work authorisation
