Full job description

We currently have a vacancy for a Distribution Officer, to work in our Logistics department. The role will co-ordinate and control the distribution of Renolit UK Limited's products to its global customer base, ensuring delivery performance meets cost, quality and service parameters. It will also arrange and schedule transport requirements for all departments as requested both outbound and inbound.

Duties

· Global Product Coordination: Active involvement in coordinating and controlling the distribution of Renolit UK Limited products to our diverse global customer base.

· Transport Arrangement: Assist in arranging and scheduling transport requirements for various departments.

· Customer Communication & Order Processing: Work closely with our customer service team to ensure sales orders are correctly and timely released for both our domestic and international markets.

· Operational Documentation: Prepare and process essential documents such as pick notes and labels and contribute to updating our daily loading plans.

· Computer systems: Use industry-standard systems, including SAP/COAGO, to confirm picks, accurately update stock records, and produce despatch notes.

· Delivery Assurance: Ensure our customers receive their deliveries on time and in-full.

· Freight Invoice Management: Assisting with the checking and authorisation of freight invoices

· In-Transit Issue Resolution: Investigate and report on any issues that arise while goods are in transit.

· Goods In/Warehousing Administrative Support: Provide valuable administrative assistance to our Warehousing department, learning the process of converting purchasing requisitions into formal orders.

Skills

The successful candidate will have an excellent attention to detail, be methodical and able to work autonomously. Excellent communication and interpersonal skill are essential.

Qualifications / experience required:

5 x GCSEs between A and C or equivalent, A-levels are desirable
Experience within a warehouse / freight forwarding / export environment
