Where do you come in?
We are looking for an ambitious Driver /Stores Person for our service station in Medway, Rochester with excellent attention to detail, strong time management, communication skills and the ability to work well with others.
What attributes we are looking for:
The Driver / Stores Person will provide support to customers internal and external in achieving work targets and meeting their needs. Good planning and organising skills, MS Office, Excel, Word and Outlook. Good communication and a strong team player skill with a proactive approach.
Together with high performing colleagues, you will be part of an international organisation comprising of production facilities in Denmark, Norway, Bulgaria China and Thailand, and a global network of VIKING-owned servicing stations.
Primary tasks and responsibilities:
· Collection of delivery of local shipments
· Pick and pack goods for delivery
· Ensuring when delivering to customers a high level of customer service is maintained
· All items being transported are securely packaged and restrained
· Delivery of equipment to other VIKING UK service stations
· Ensures customer signs paperwork and it is returned to the stores supervisor upon return to the service station
· All relevant vehicle levels are checked and recorded on a regular basis
· Ensure all tyres are legal and above 3mm in tread depth
· Complete daily mileage records
· Ensure HSE rules are followed
· Stock control and periodic stock checks
· Any ad hoc tasks as necessary, including assisting in the service department if required.
You will report to the Logistics Supervisor and be part of the UK teams of VIKING Life-Saving Equipment Ltd with other branches in Great Yarmouth, Aberdeen, and Liverpool.
You may be required to travel other branches.
