At Interface Manufacturing Ltd (IML), we’ve been delivering high-quality, custom electronic assemblies since 1999. We pride ourselves on offering top-tier contract electronics solutions to global clients, but we know we can only do that with a great team.
We are passionate about excellence, but we are equally dedicated to our employees’ growth, well-being, and happiness.
The Role: Keeping Us Moving
As our Production Flow Controller, you will be the heartbeat of our manufacturing floor. Your main mission is to monitor and control the smooth flow of work from the moment components are kitted all the way to final testing and dispatch.
You’ll work closely with our Production Supervisor and Purchasing team to keep everything on schedule, spot bottlenecks before they cause delays, and ensure we deliver on our promises to our customers.
What You’ll Do Every Day:
- Track the Journey: Keep a close eye on jobs moving through our electronics manufacturing stages (from SMT and AOI to conventional through-hole and final assembly).
- Smooth Out the Bumps: Identify and resolve production bottlenecks and help prioritize fast-track or prototype orders.
- Team Up for Success: Partner with the team to ensure all components and boards are ready before a build starts so the floor can run smoothly.
- Celebrate On-Time Delivery: Drive actions to hit our delivery dates and keep an eye on completed boards transitioning into test and inspection.
- Keep Us Smart: Monitor work-in-progress levels and produce monthly reports to help us see where we can improve efficiency even further.
What We Are Looking For:
We are looking for a proactive, hands on teammate who stays calm under pressure and loves solving puzzles. Ideally, you bring:
- Electronics Experience: A solid understanding of PCBA processes (SMT, PTH, AOI) is essential.
- Manufacturing Savvy: A good grasp of production flow, lead times, and how to use ERP/MRP systems.
- Great Communication: The ability to chat confidently with everyone from the shop floor to senior management.
- An Eye for Detail: Great organizational skills, perfect for managing complex builds with lots of moving parts.
How We’ll Measure Success Together:
- Smooth, controlled cycle times from SMT through to Final Test.
- Hitting and exceeding our On-Time In-Full (OTIF) delivery targets.
- Keeping production moving efficiently with minimal wait times between stages.
