Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Body Shop Technician to join our professional team. The successful candidate will be responsible for repairing and restoring vehicles to the highest standards, ensuring customer satisfaction and safety. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for automotive repair and a keen eye for detail. The position is paid and suitable for those eager to develop their skills within a dynamic environment.

Duties

Conduct vehicle repairs including panel straightening, dent removal, and paint preparation
Use specialised hand tools and power tools to carry out repairs efficiently and accurately
Assess vehicle damage and determine the necessary repair procedures
Perform heavy lifting when required, ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times
Maintain a clean and organised work area to promote safety and efficiency
Collaborate with team members to complete repairs within specified timeframes
Conduct quality checks on repaired vehicles before returning them to customers
Keep detailed records of repairs carried out on each vehicle

Skills

Strong mechanical knowledge with an understanding of automotive systems and repair techniques
Proficiency in using hand tools such as screwdrivers, wrenches, and chisels
Experience with power tools including sanders, grinders, and drills
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely, handling vehicle parts or equipment weighing up to 25kg or more
Excellent attention to detail to ensure high-quality repairs
Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
Strong communication skills to work collaboratively within a team environment
