Electronic Temperature Instruments Ltd, is a British, family run, award-winning digital thermometer manufacturer, producing digital and infrared thermometers for food service and industry together with dataloggers, moisture meters, humidity and pH meters. We are a 5 minute walk from East Worthing railway station.
The Role
Our dedicated team of general assemblers perform tasks that are necessary to the production process and the success of our business.
As the Electronic Assembly/Rework Technician, you will be working in the Production area and be responsible for the timely rectification and cost-effective repair of any products that may fail first time test.
Main duties and responsibilities
- Fault find, repair, test and calibrate Electronic Temperature Instruments.
- Liaise with Quality regarding issues with brought in components.
- Report any issues (common faults, etc) to the Production Manager and Team Leaders.
- Assist operators with any assembly issues.
- Report failure rates.
- Review and update assembly/calibration work procedures.
- Assist with the introduction of New Products.
- Carry out weekly/monthly checks on assembly line build and test equipment.
The Person
To be successful in this role, candidates must have:-
- Previous manufacturing experience
- Good soldering skills
- An understanding of electronics and electronic fault finding
- Methodical approach to problem solving
- Good housekeeping standards
- Good verbal and written communication skills
