Who are we?
We are Merryweathers! We have two salons (Haywards Heath and Horsham) and are very proud to be an award winning team.
We are a team of experienced groomers who work together to deliver an award winning service to our customers (both two and four legged). We complete a huge variety of grooms from breed standard poodles to asian fusion bichons and everything in between.
Our salons are equipped with hydro baths and air conditioning! Plus we are crate free (we have very large comfortable pens with beds & water - a much quieter environment!).
We work hard to ensure that we offer the best service and have the best grooming team!
Things you should know about us....
When you join us you will have an individual induction programme including 2 weeks of 1:1 training with our Manager, Sally. This is regardless of the level you come in at - its important to us that whilst everyone has their own style, we all have the same high standard. After your initial training we also offer on going in house training.
We tailor our grooming time according to the dog and not profit. If a dog takes 3 hrs, then thats how long you book it in for. No targets!
We work 1:1 with our dogs. The dog is with you throughout their time in the salon from entrance to exit. Its a more comfortable experience for the dog and a less hectic experience for you!
What can we offer?
We have a full time permanent vacancy in either our Horsham or Haywards Heath salon (we only have one vacancy but are open to either location!). Our full time positions are 09.00 - 17.30 (we don't do late nights!) and our salons are open six days a week (we work on a 5 day rota basis).
We can offer a very competitive salary, 28 days holiday a year, a pension (after six months), tips and a sabbatical after five years!
Who are you?
You are an experienced groomer looking for a new challenge. You may be working for a more corporate company wanting to move into a privately owned salon where individuality is nurtured and the team is caring or you may be working in a small salon wanting to work with a buzzy team and benefit from the ongoing training!
Regardless, you are looking for somewhere you can stay long term (we have a very low turn over of staff), put down roots and be the groomer you want to be.
