Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Roofer/Labourer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction and roofing, with the ability to work effectively with various tools and materials. This role involves performing a range of tasks related to roofing projects, ensuring quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards.
Duties
- Install, repair, and maintain roofs and solar panels using various materials such as slate, metal, and tiles.
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently for roofing tasks.
- Assist in fabrication and carpentry work as needed during roofing projects.
- Perform heavy lifting and manoeuvring of materials on-site.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Conduct basic plumbing and masonry tasks as required during roofing installations or repairs.
- Follow safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for all team members.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in roofing, solar panel installation or general construction is preferred.
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, fabrication, carpentry and masonry is advantageous.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 25 kg) consistently throughout the day.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to delivering quality work.
- Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively on-site.
