Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a reliable and professional Delivery Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting goods efficiently and safely to various locations, ensuring timely deliveries. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for driving and customer service, seeking a dynamic and active position within a well-established organisation.

Duties

Safely operate company vehicles, including vans, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
Load and unload goods, ensuring items are secure during transit and handling heavy lifting when necessary
Plan delivery routes to optimise efficiency and meet scheduled deadlines
Deliver goods accurately to clients’ premises, maintaining professionalism and excellent communication with customers
Complete delivery documentation accurately and promptly
Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues to ensure vehicle safety and compliance
Maintain a clean and organised vehicle at all times
Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery times or any unforeseen delays

Requirements

Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role, with a strong understanding of commercial driving practices
Valid driver’s licence, preferably with a UK driver License
Experience in warehouse operations or logistics is advantageous
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during loading and unloading processes
Excellent communication skills to liaise professionally with clients and team members
Good organisational skills to manage routes and schedules effectively
Knowledge of local roads, traffic regulations, and safety procedures
Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently with minimal supervision

Pay: £100.00-£250.00 per day

Ability to commute/relocate:

Crawley, West Sussex: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

Experience:

Multidrop Delivery driver: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

UK drivers license (preferred)

United Kingdom (required)
