Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of cocktails, beverages, and non-alcoholic drinks according to standard recipes and customer preferences
- Engage with guests in a friendly and professional manner, providing excellent service and recommendations
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the foh area, including glassware, utensils, and ingredients
- Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards at all times
- Manage stock levels, restocking supplies as needed to ensure smooth operation during shifts
- Handle cash and card transactions accurately, adhering to cash handling procedures
- Monitor guest consumption to promote responsible drinking and prevent over-service
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient service delivery during busy periods
Skills
- Proven experience in hospitality or food service, particularly within a bar or restaurant setting
- Strong knowledge of cocktail recipes, drink presentation, and garnishing techniques
- Excellent communication and serving skills with a friendly demeanour
- Good understanding of food safety standards and hygiene practices
- Basic maths skills for handling payments and managing stock levels accurately
- Effective time management skills to prioritise tasks during busy shifts
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Previous restaurant experience is advantageous but not essential; enthusiasm for learning is key
