PATIENT SERVICES ADMINISTRATOR

About the Role

We are looking for a friendly, professional and highly organised Patient Services Team Member to join our busy Primary Care practice on a maternity cover contract.

As the first point of contact for our patients, you will play a vital role in delivering excellent customer service, both face-to-face and over the telephone. You will support patients with appointments, enquiries and administrative requests while helping ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the practice.

About You

We are looking for someone who:

Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Enjoys working in a fast-paced customer-facing environment.
Can remain calm and professional under pressure.
Has good IT and administrative skills.
Demonstrates strong organisational abilities and attention to detail.
Is a team player with a positive and flexible approach.
Previous reception, customer service or healthcare experience is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided.

Job Description

The successful candidate will have the ability to deal with patients in a confident and caring manner, ensuring an effective and efficient reception service is provided to patients and any other visitors to the Practice.
Processing online and telephone requests, ensuring callers are directed to the appropriate healthcare professional.
Undertaking a variety of administrative duties to assist in the smooth running of the Practice.
Hours: 39 hours per week, worked over 4 days 08:00 to 18:15, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday
Saturday Rota: 1 in 4 Saturdays, 08:45 to 17:00. Saturday hours are paid in addition to the contracted hours at the standard hourly rate.
