Must have coaching or teaching experience for this summer.
We are recruiting for Activity Leaders to join our growing and ambitious team at Sporty Stars in Exeter / East Devon. We will be offering our award-winning holiday camps base which will be open for all children aged 5-12 in the Area.
We deliver a range of multisport, inflatables and classroom games. Our activities include Bubble Football, Nerf Wars, Archery Tag, Bouncy Castles, Glow in the Dark Sports, Multi Sports and much more.
A working day is 8:15am - 5:15pm. We are recruiting for mid-week in the Summer Holiday’s from Monday 28th July - 30th August.
Successful applicants will have to be able to fulfil these dates, with the intentions of further work in the school holidays. Our standard format for 20 children supervised by 2 staff members. Full training on activities will be given or supervised by head activity leader.
We feel this role would be perfect for someone who is has experience in teaching, Teaching Assistant or Sports Coaching
Full training on activities will be provided, with certificates and courses available to successful applicants. An ideal candidate would have the following:
· Have a great personality and characteristics that lend themselves to working with children.
· Full of enthusiasm and energy.
· An ability to communicate with confidence.
· Speak in a manner that is appropriate for working with children.
· Excellent knowledge and hold qualifications of sports coaching, which should include First Aid Certificate (preferable)
· Able to pass an Enhanced DBS Check and be deemed safe to work with children.
· Experience and knowledge of working with children and young people.
· Competent in literacy and numeracy.
· Competency to perform at a consistently high standard.
· Able to follow a range of session plans.
· Be reliable and have good timekeeping.
· Be confident in delivering instructions and information.
· Ability to set up and deliver high-quality sports provision to children and young people ·
