Full job description

We are seeking a talented and creative Cake Decorator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for baking and decorating cakes, with a keen eye for detail and design. This role involves creating beautiful and delicious cakes that meet our customers' specifications while adhering to food safety standards. If you have experience in food production and a flair for culinary artistry, we would love to hear from you.

Duties

Decorate cakes using various techniques, including piping, fondant application, and hand-painting.
Collaborate with clients to understand their vision and create custom cake designs for special occasions.
Prepare and bake cakes, ensuring all ingredients are measured accurately.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, following food safety guidelines.
Assist in the development of new cake recipes and decoration techniques.
Monitor inventory levels of baking supplies and communicate needs to management.
Ensure all finished products meet quality standards before delivery or display.

Requirements

Proven experience in cake decorating or a similar culinary role is essential.
Strong knowledge of food production and preparation techniques.
Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in the kitchen.
Previous experience in a restaurant or bakery setting is highly desirable.
Excellent attention to detail with a creative mindset for designing visually appealing cakes.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high-quality standards.

FULL TIME - 40 HOURS A WEEK ( 7.30-4.30)
