Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Centre Manager specialised in Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) to oversee the daily operations of our educational facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing strategic leadership, ensuring high-quality support for students, and fostering an inclusive environment that promotes learning and development. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children with SEND, whilst leading a committed team of educators and support staff.

Duties

Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the SEND centre, ensuring smooth and efficient functioning.
Develop and implement programmes tailored to meet the individual needs of students with SEND.
Oversee curriculum delivery, ensuring it aligns with statutory requirements and best practices in SEND education.
Supervise, support, and appraise teaching staff, fostering professional development and maintaining high standards of teaching.
Build strong relationships with parents, carers, external agencies, and stakeholders to promote collaborative support for students.
Monitor student progress and behaviour, implementing intervention strategies where necessary.
Ensure compliance with safeguarding policies, health & safety regulations, and other statutory obligations.
Manage centre resources effectively, including budgeting, staffing schedules, and procurement of supplies.
Promote an inclusive environment that celebrates diversity and encourages positive behaviour among all students.

Qualifications

Proven experience in managing a SEND or special educational needs setting.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
Knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and best practices relating to SEND education.
Teaching qualification or relevant educational background is essential; experience in teaching children with SEND is highly desirable.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
Exceptional communication skills to liaise confidently with staff, parents, and external agencies.
