Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Painter and Decorator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for applying paint and other finishes to various surfaces, ensuring high-quality workmanship and attention to detail. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with construction painting experience who are looking to develop their skills within a professional environment. Candidates should possess strong communication skills and a valid driving licence to facilitate transportation to different sites. The position is paid, including internship opportunities, and is suitable for those eager to contribute to diverse projects in residential, commercial, or industrial settings.

Responsibilities

Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and applying primers as necessary before painting or decorating.
Apply paint, varnish, wallpaper, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, spray guns, or other tools.
Ensure all work is completed to a high standard of quality and within specified deadlines.
Protect surrounding areas by covering furniture, floors, and fixtures during work.
Maintain a clean and organised work environment at all times.
Communicate effectively with clients and team members regarding project progress or any issues encountered.

Qualifications

Proven experience in construction painting or decorating is desirable.
Valid driving licence.
Good command of English language for effective communication.
Strong communication skills to liaise with clients and team members professionally.
Ability to work independently or as part of a team in various environments.
Organised with excellent attention to detail to ensure quality.

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: £13.50-£15.00 per hour
