Our Story

Olympian Garden Buildings was founded by Barry Williams — a Great Britain Hammer Thrower who competed at the Munich 1972 Olympics. He named the company after his Games. He built it on the same values that took him to the Olympics: quality, discipline and the refusal to do anything by halves.

Barry and his wife Julie started the business together. Today it is run by their son Nick and daughter Hannah — a family driven by the same founding belief: if it's worth building, build it properly.

From garden sheds to contemporary garden pods, premium garden rooms, luxury aluminium pergolas and bespoke outdoor kitchen units, we are a premium provider in every sense — and 43 years of repeat business and word-of-mouth is the proof.

We are not standing still. The outdoor living market is booming and we are evolving with it. Garden furniture is next. After that, who knows — but we have an ambitious roadmap and we need the right digital voice to bring it to life.

The Role

We have never had a dedicated in-house digital marketing function. That changes now.

As our first Digital Marketing Manager, you will have a blank canvas and the full support of the senior team to build something genuinely impressive. You will own the strategy, lead the content, run the campaigns and manage our external agencies — all while working hand-in-glove with our newly appointed Sales & Development Director to drive enquiries and revenue.

This is not a role where you maintain someone else's system. This is a role where you create the system.

What You'll Be Doing

Developing and owning our digital marketing strategy across SEO, paid social, PPC, email and content
Building our social media presence from the ground up — particularly on Instagram, Pinterest and TikTok — to reach a younger, design-conscious audience
Creating compelling content that showcases our products and the outdoor living lifestyle
Selecting and implementing a social media management platform that works for our business
Managing and optimising paid advertising campaigns on Meta and Google
Overseeing and briefing our external digital marketing agencies
Analysing performance data and turning insight into action
Supporting new product launches — starting with our exciting new garden furniture range

What We're Looking For

Minimum of 4 years digital marketing experience, with solid exposure across multiple channels
A hands-on, self-starting attitude — you thrive when you have ownership and autonomy
Strong knowledge of Meta Ads, Google Ads and SEO fundamentals
Experience with social media management platforms (Hootsuite, Sprout Social, Later or similar)
Comfortable with analytics — you make decisions based on data, not instinct alone
A genuine creative flair — you can write, brief and commission content that stands out
Bonus points for experience in outdoor living, home improvement, interiors or premium lifestyle brands
