About us

The National Federation of Builders (NFB) is one of the UK's leading construction trade associations, supporting members of all sizes. We champion the industry, influence policy and help our members succeed.

We're looking for an enthusiastic Digital Marketing Executive to join our small, friendly team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone at the beginning of their marketing career who wants to gain hands-on experience across digital marketing, communications, content and events.

The role

This is a varied role where you'll support marketing campaigns, member communications, events and digital activity. A key part of the role will be using data from our CRM system to support member engagement, improve communications and help shape marketing activity.

Working in a small team means you'll have the opportunity to contribute ideas, take real ownership of projects and make an impact from day one. This role would suit a person at the start of their marketing career.

Key responsibilities

Support the production of member newsletters and publications
Assist with email marketing campaigns, audience segmentation and reporting
Learn to create and schedule content across social media and digital channels
Learn to design engaging marketing materials using Canva
Draft and proofread content for marketing communications, websites and publications
Assist with keeping the company website up to date
Learn how to use the CRM system to support marketing activity
Use CRM insights to improve member communications and engagement
Support the promotion and delivery of NFB events, including conferences, award ceremonies, webinars and networking
Monitor campaign performance and help to produce marketing reports and insights

About you

We're looking for someone who is organised, proactive and keen to learn, with an active interest in marketing or communications.
Essential
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
Good written communication and proofreading skills
Willingness to work under own initiative and learn new skills
Experience creating content on social media
Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office
A positive attitude and willingness to get involved across a variety of projects
Ability to speak confidently to a range of different people

Desirable

Experience using Canva or other design software
Marketing, communications or related qualification
Experience with email marketing platforms
Experience supporting events or conferences
Experience producing written content
Experience using a website CMS
Interest in construction, membership organisations or trade associations

Company information and benefits

35 hours per week
£24,500 per annum,
