Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our team at Newlands Holidays. This role involves maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organisation within our premises, ensuring a welcoming environment for guests and staff alike. Prior experience in hospitality or janitorial services is advantageous, but full training will be provided. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a positive attitude towards delivering exceptional service.
Duties
- Clean and sanitise guest rooms, public areas, and staff facilities to meet established standards
- Change bed linens, towels, and replenish amenities as required
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and polish surfaces to maintain cleanliness and hygiene
- Report any maintenance issues or damages to management promptly
- Restock supplies such as toiletries, cleaning products, and linen supplies
- Follow health and safety procedures diligently to ensure a safe working environment
- Assist with laundry duties when necessary
- Adhere to organisational policies regarding confidentiality and guest privacy
Experience
- Previous hotel or hospitality experience is preferred but not essential
- Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness
- Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules and priorities
