An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join the Point of Care Testing (POCT) team at Dorset County Hospital NHS Foundation Trust as a full-time Associate Practitioner .
The POCT service supports safe and effective patient care by providing near-patient diagnostic testing across the Trust. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day operation of the service, including maintaining POCT equipment, supporting device connectivity, managing stock, and assisting with user training administration.
This role requires excellent attention to detail, strong communication skills and good IT literacy. Candidates with a background or interest in computing, digital technology, laboratory sciences or medical devices are particularly encouraged to apply, as the role includes supporting the IT connectivity and data management of POCT devices .
Working closely with the POCT Manager , you will contribute to the delivery and development of a high-quality service and support compliance with national POCT guidelines and UKAS ISO accreditation standards .
This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain experience in Point of Care Testing and Biomedical Science , with opportunities for further training and career development within the service.
