We are looking for a detail-oriented and reliable Bookkeeper to support our financial operations for both BlueSky Experiences and, its sister business, Bachilton Limited and contribute to the smooth running of our office.
Role Overview
The Bookkeeper will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing day-to-day accounting activities, and supporting general office operations. The ideal candidate will have strong experience using Xero and a solid understanding of bookkeeping best practices, along with the ability to assist with administrative duties.
Additionally, this role will have the responsibility of processing Insights profiles through an online portal – training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate financial records, ledgers, and journals
- Manage accounts payable and receivable
- Perform bank and credit card reconciliations
- Process invoices, payments, and expense claims
- Prepare and submit VAT returns
- Generate financial reports and assist with monthly management accounts (as required by Management).
- Monitor cash flow and highlight any potential issues
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies
- Liaise with external accountants and auditors as needed
- Provide day-to-day office administration duties
- Handle incoming calls and direct enquiries appropriately
Key Requirements
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or similar financial role
- Essential: Strong working knowledge of Xero accounting software
- Solid understanding of bookkeeping and accounting principles
- Experience with bank reconciliations and financial reporting
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong organisational and time-management skills
- Ability to multitask across finance and administrative tasks
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite
- Strong communication skills
Desirable Skills
- Knowledge of VAT and UK financial regulations
- AAT qualification or relevant experience
