Full training apprenticeship will be provided for any successful trainee candidate.
Apprenticeship wage £12.21. Increase applied on qualifying, post qualifications and role.
Working Pattern: The fixed hours will be 21 hours worked over 3 days: Monday 08.15-20.15, Tuesday 08.15-13.15, Friday 08.15-13.15. There may be opportunities to work additional hours to cover annual leave. .
Key Responsibilities
Provide chairside assistance, ensuring that the correct equipment is available
Keep the clinical areas, equipment and instruments clean, tidy and sterile as appropriate according to the practice’s health and safety and infection control procedures and manufacturers' instruction
Use our mouth scanner to ensure our patients are given the best experience and record these in patient notes
Prepare the necessary materials and instruments
Meet and greet patients with a friendly and professional manner
Accurately complete patient clinical records as directed on SOE Exact
Continually interpret the needs of the patients and dentist and deal with them promptly and efficiently.
Work within our Front of House team to provide excellent customer service
Take all reasonable methods to ensure patient comfort
Follow all practice policies and procedures.
Observe patient confidentiality at all times
Ensure adequate stocks of materials and other items within the surgery
Liaise with reception to ensure smooth patient communications and transfer of records
Other duties as necessary for the efficient operation of the practice – Reception cover when required
Undergo training as may be required to develop your skills and abilities
Attend refresher and update training for medical emergencies and CPR decontamination and radiology
Act in accordance with the practice rules and code of conduct
Work at other practice locations from time to time as required
Maintain GDC registration
To maintain and increase competence in nursing skills by actively following a programme of continuing professional development.
