This is a physically demanding role covering a variety of sections and working with a range of different species.
Daily duties will include:
- Undertaking the cleaning and feeding regimes for the allocated charges working to set operating procedures to deliver the highest levels of animal husbandry.
- Providing a high standard of guest service and engagement, delivering fun, educational feeding experiences and public talks.
- Enclosure maintenance and grounds work including weeding, planting, re-branching and painting.
- Chaperoning our work experience candidates and students as part of our educational programme.
- Creating fun fundraising / income generating campaigns to benefit your charges and the park in general. You will be required to lead at least one fund raising campaign each year.
- Researching, creating and providing suitable enrichment for your charges.
- Working independently, with the ability to use your initiative, and as part of a team.
- Following all health, safety, hygiene and licensing guidelines.
- Ensuring records and kept upto date

Experience
- Have practical experience within a similar setting Zoom, Wildlife Park or Petting Farm
- Qualifications to a higher level in Zoology or a related field
- Have experience driving agricultural machinery
- Be hardworking, reliable and a team player
- Hold a full driving licence valid in the UK
- Have excellent communication and teamwork skills
Pay: £14.42 per hour
