Cleaning Contract Manager
Role overview
To support the Operations Manager by ensuring the site is managed efficiently and effectively. That the specified cleaning standards are met and maintained. To support and assist your Operations Manager in their duties. To ensure cleaners are trained and records are maintained effectively. To ensure any site regulations and Company policies are adhered too. Liaising with client as and when required.
You’ll be responsible for:
- Ensure cleaning standards expected by the client are achieved and maintained and all contract cleaning sites / periodic spends come within budgeted working hours.
- Ensure target staffing levels at customer sites are achieved and maintained at all times.
- Strategic direction of service delivery.
- Closely monitor Financial performance.
- Work closely with Centre Management to achieve shared goals
- Ensure full compliance with Churchill and HSEQ objectives
- Accurate reporting and analysis of monthly statistics
- Establish County Mall as best practice site
- Monitor and Manage performance of Cleaning Manager/Supervisor
- Obtain all appropriate authorisations from the customer or their representatives for all additional works.
- Train and manage site supervisors in Health & Safety, basic & advanced cleaning tasks and to ensure this is cascaded to all site cleaning staff as necessary and as per the training material. Ensure employees adhere to the Company Health and Safety procedure at all times.
- Visit all contract shifts during cleaning hours making sure all cleaners are visited and all shifts are visited a minimum of at least quarterly. Ensure all KPI’s are completed by deadlines and advise Customer Services Dept via e-mail.
- Organise / authorise sufficient stock and supplies deliveries to contract sites remaining within site budget.
- Manage the company implementation procedure for all new contract starts to ensure their smooth and efficient commencement. Undertake risk assessments on all sites and maintain appropriate documentation for each site.
- After receipt of relevant training, carry out appropriate disciplinary measures, as necessary, adhering to company procedures, documenting accurately all such actions and involving the HR department at the earliest opportunity.
- Carry out Monthly inspections with a customer or their representative. Complete and submit Audit forms to Operations Manager within deadlines. Complete monthly Jeopardy Report where appropriate, create and implement action plans to remedy need for report problem areas, maintaining high levels of communication with the customer.
- Recruit, develop and place cleaning staff in site contracts promptly liaising with Human Resources and Payroll, as appropriate.
- Maintain accurate staff records to include holiday leave, sickness absence and other authorised absences to ensure no overpayment to employees is made.
- Hold regular contract and specification review meetings with customers to cover:
- efficient and effective running of the contract
- to promote additional products and services
- to advise of any changes in Health & Safety regulations, legislation affecting cleaning procedures, their effects on our operation of the site contract and other industry issues etc.
- to review Service Level Agreements
- Ask for well-done notes and referrals.
All meetings are to be minuted and copies provided to customers
- Conduct annual contract reviews as requested by the Operations Manager.
- Report any contract issues to the Operations Manager in a timely manner.
- To perform any other reasonable job related task that may be directed by the regional or senior management of the company as requested.
Health and Safety:
- Adhere to all Health and Safety Legislation, as laid down by the Company.
- Communicate any Health and Safety problems encountered, to the Operations Manager and QHSE Department promptly completing appropriate paperwork as required.
- Inform Operations Manager immediately of any non-compliance, or issues.
- Conduct necessary Health and Safety training, ensuring all staff are aware of their responsibilities under its legislation
- Be fully aware of individual and reporting staff’s responsibilities in regard to the Company’s Health and Safety Policy Statement
- Ensure sites regulations and Health & Safety policies are adhere to and followed at all times
- Inform QHSE Department and Operations Manager immediately of any accidents at work and complete paperwork.
- To be responsible for the safe use and care of equipment and materials and wear appropriate protective clothing as supplied.

- An effective communicator with a good understanding and speaking of English
- Able to plan and prioritise workload to ensure objectives are achieved on time
- Able to identify problems and take appropriate action where necessary to resolve
- Able to follow instructions on the use of cleaning materials and machinery
- Able to attain a consistent standard of service in cleaning duties
- Able to adhere to manual handling and health and safety regulations as required

Must haves
- Previous managerial experience within the Cleaning industry
- Experienced in providing exceptional customer service.
- Experience of working within a client facing environment.
- Experience of cleaning duties

- Live within commuting distance of the site.
- Able and willing to work hours based on the sites requirements as necessary.
