We are looking for an organised and diligent Warehouse Operative / Picker / Packer to join our warehouse team. The successful candidate will have experience working in a stores / pick and pack warehouse environment. You will be responsible for efficiently preparing products for distribution, ensuring accuracy and quality standards are maintained, picking and packing of goods and quality inspection of the goods being sent out.
The role could potentially lead to opportunities to develop skills in materials handling, warehouse management, and logistics within a fast paced environment for the right candidate. This role also includes some infrequent (once or twice a month potentially) driver responsibilities in a company vehicle both in the local area and sites nationwide. There will also be a small element of office and stores maintenance duties within the role.
Full training will be provided.

Responsibilities:
- Carefully select and pack items according to order specifications, ensuring accuracy and completeness
- Coordinate the delivery and distribution of materials and equipment to sites across the UK.
- Plan transport routes and schedules to optimise efficiency.
- Liaise with suppliers, engineers, and clients to ensure smooth operations.
- Process incoming deliveries and ensure accuracy against purchase orders.
- Handle materials safely, adhering to health and safety guidelines
- Manage stock levels through effective picking, packing, stocking, and inventory control
- Keep warehouse and storage areas safe, organised, and compliant.
- Ensure engineers return materials for restocking or recycling.
- Order and manage PPE to ensure all staff and subcontractors are properly equipped.
- Assist with shipping and receiving tasks, including loading and unloading lorries
- Conduct quality control checks on packed items to ensure they meet company standards
- Utilise warehouse management systems (WMS) to track inventory movements and update records accurately
- Drive company vehicles to deliver equipment to London and other UK locations occasionally.
- Support fleet management alongside office administration.
- Oversee premises maintenance schedules for offices and warehouse.
- Support operational projects as required.
The Ideal Person:
- Proven experience in warehouse operations, including picking & packing, stock management, and shipping & receiving (2 years minimum)
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) for inventory tracking
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
- Attention to detail to ensure high-quality packing standards are maintained
- Able to manage workload effectively and meet deadlines.

Experience:
- Minimum 5 GCSEs (including Maths & English) or equivalent.
- At least 2 years’ experience in a warehouse pick / pack environment
- Full UK driving licence (required for delivery duties).
- Strong time management and organisational skills.
