Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join our mental health team. The successful candidate will provide expert psychiatric assessments, diagnosis, and treatment planning for a diverse patient demographic. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to high-quality patient care within a supportive and professional environment. The position liaises with multidisciplinary teams committed to delivering compassionate mental health services.

Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and assessments for patients, including for ADHD
Develop and implement tailored treatment plans, including medication management and psychotherapy referrals
Monitor patient progress regularly, adjusting treatment strategies as necessary to optimise outcomes
Collaborate closely with psychologists, social workers, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic patient care
Maintain accurate, detailed clinical documentation in accordance with legal and organisational standards
Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, case reviews, and service development initiatives
Engage in continuous professional development activities to stay abreast of advances in psychiatric practice

Qualifications

Medical degree with full registration as a Consultant Psychiatrist with the General Medical Council (GMC) and medical indemnity
Proven experience within a mental health setting is required
Strong commitment to patient care with excellent communication skills
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
Demonstrated competence in managing complex cases involving diverse mental health conditions
Relevant specialist qualifications or certifications in psychiatry or related fields are essential. This role offers the chance to make a meaningful difference to patients’ lives through expert psychiatric care while working within a collaborative environment dedicated to excellence in mental health services

Pay: £150.00-£170.00 per hour
