We have a great internal opportunity available to join Novus, our prison education provider at HMP Frankland, working as a Maths & Digital Skills Teacher. This role is offered on a permanent, part-time basis, working 20.25 hours per week.

Site Information
HMP Frankland is a Category A men's prison located in the village of Brasside in County Durham, England. Frankland is operated by His Majesty's Prison Service, and is located next to HM Prison Low Newton, a closed women's prison. Though traditionally holding men serving more than four years, since 2005 Frankland has also taken category A remand prisoners. In 2019, it was designated as a prison with a training function.

Skills, Qualifications and Experience
To be successful in this role, you will need to:
- Hold a teaching qualification and where applicable, relevant subject specialist qualification - with a commitment to obtain the outstanding qualification within 12 months
- Hold a Level 2 qualification in Literacy and Numeracy
- Have experience in creating stimulating, vibrant environments which are conducive to learning and motivational for learners
- Have previous track record showing achievement of quality targets
- Have successfully produced accurate and timely reports
- Demonstrate effective interpersonal and communication skills
- Can motivate and enthuse learners
- Have organisational skills to prioritise workload to meet deadlines and targets
- Demonstrate positive team working
