The Role:
We are seeking an ambitious and proactive individual to play a key role within the University of Portsmouth's IT team!

What You'll Do:

Assist students accessing the universities IT facilities and services.
Provide friendly, professional and efficient face-to-face support.
Collaborate with the LIS team to escalate complex issues and ensure timely resolutions.
Contribute ideas for improving IT services.

This position is working on-site only, so we are unable to support hybrid working for this appointment.

This appointment is a fixed-term contract from 01 August 2026 to 31 August 2027.

Salary Information:

New appointments will routinely be made to the entry spine point (minimum) for the advertised grade, from where the individual will (in addition to receiving annual cost-of-living-related increases) progress through the pay range to the maximum for the grade, within a reasonable timeframe. This ensures fairness, consistency and transparency in our pay structures. A higher starting salary or market supplement may be available for a truly exceptional candidate when circumstances fully justify a departure from our normal policy.
