About Us
MailBakes is a fast-growing letterbox cake gifting brand. Customers choose a cake slice, pair it with a greeting card and personalised handwritten note, and we send it straight through the recipient’s letterbox.
We are already a 7-figure ecommerce business and we are looking for an exceptional Paid Media Buyer / Performance Marketing Manager to help us scale to the next level.
This is not a basic ads management role. We are looking for someone who is commercially minded, highly experienced, obsessed with performance, and focused on the small 1% improvements that compound into serious growth.
About the Role
We are looking for someone to take ownership of our paid media strategy across Meta and Google, with TikTok becoming a key growth channel moving forward.
You will be responsible for managing, optimising and scaling paid acquisition profitably, while constantly looking for ways to improve performance, increase revenue and grow the business.
We need someone who understands that scaling a brand is not just about increasing budgets. It is about creative testing, offer testing, landing pages, funnels, attribution, tracking, customer acquisition cost, ROAS, MER, contribution margin and knowing exactly which levers to pull.
You will work closely with us to help drive growth across the business, not just inside the ad accounts.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Managing and scaling paid media across Meta and Google
- Helping us expand into TikTok as a serious acquisition channel
- Building and improving paid media strategy
- Managing campaign structure, budgets, testing and optimisation
- Analysing performance daily and spotting opportunities quickly
- Improving ROAS, MER, CAC and overall profitability
- Working closely on creative strategy and identifying winning ad angles
- Briefing new creative ideas based on data and performance
- Testing hooks, offers, audiences, landing pages and funnels
- Improving tracking, reporting and decision-making
- Scaling what works and cutting what does not
- Looking for the small 1% improvements that move the business forward
- Helping us grow from a 7-figure brand into the next stage of scale
Who We’re Looking For
We are looking for someone who is genuinely excellent at paid media.
You should be experienced, proactive, data-led and commercially sharp. We do not want someone who simply checks the ad account and makes small tweaks. We want someone who takes ownership, challenges ideas, brings strategy, spots opportunities and cares about scaling the business.
You should be:
- Highly experienced with Meta Ads
- Confident managing Google Ads
- Comfortable with TikTok Ads or excited to build this channel properly
- Experienced working with ecommerce brands
- Confident managing significant ad spend
- Commercially minded and focused on profitable growth
- Strong with data, reporting and performance analysis
- Creative-minded and able to spot strong ad angles
- Obsessed with testing and improving performance
- Proactive, organised and reliable
- Comfortable working in a fast-moving business
- Passionate about scaling a brand properly
Essential Experience
- Proven experience managing paid media for ecommerce brands
- Strong hands-on experience with Meta Ads
- Experience with Google Ads, including Shopping, Search and Performance Max
- Experience scaling ad accounts profitably
- Strong understanding of ROAS, CAC, MER and contribution margin
- Ability to analyse data and make fast, clear decisions
- Experience briefing or working closely with creative teams
- Strong understanding of creative testing and offer testing
- Experience managing a meaningful monthly ad spend
- Excellent attention to detail
Nice to Have
- Experience with TikTok Ads
- Experience in gifting, food, bakery or direct-to-consumer ecommerce
- Experience with Shopify
- Experience with Triple Whale, GA4, Klaviyo or similar tools
- Experience improving landing pages and funnels
- Experience working with 7-figure or 8-figure ecommerce brands
