Turn financial insight into business growth at Admiral Pioneer.
You’ll help turn financial data into the insights that drive some of Admiral Group’s most exciting new ventures.
As a Financial Data Analyst, you’ll work across a diverse portfolio of businesses, supporting financial planning, commercial decision-making and performance reporting that enables our ventures to grow. From analysing performance and forecasting future growth to evaluating new opportunities, you’ll help ensure our leaders have the insight they need to make confident decisions.
Working closely with the FP&A Manager and venture leadership teams, you’ll gain exposure across the full financial lifecycle while building your commercial knowledge in an environment that combines the pace of a start-up with the backing of one of the UK’s leading insurance groups.
Why this role matters
This is far more than a reporting role.
You’ll play an important part in helping Admiral Pioneer make better commercial decisions by turning complex financial data into meaningful insight. Your work will influence investment decisions, support business planning and help our ventures understand where to focus next.
Working in a small, collaborative finance team, you’ll have the opportunity to contribute across every aspect of financial planning and analysis. You’ll partner directly with senior stakeholders, gain exposure to board-level reporting and develop experience that’s difficult to find in a traditional finance role.
If you’re looking for a role that offers ownership, variety and the chance to accelerate your development, this is a fantastic opportunity.
You’ll be successful in this role if you
- Enjoy using data to solve commercial problems and influence business decisions.
- Are naturally curious and want to understand what drives business performance.
- Thrive in a fast-moving environment where priorities can change quickly.
- Enjoy building relationships with stakeholders and partnering with teams across the business.
- Take ownership of your work and proactively look for ways to improve processes and reporting.
- Want to broaden your finance experience beyond traditional reporting and develop strong commercial skills.
What you’ll bring
- Experience working in a finance, commercial or analytical role.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to turn complex financial data into clear, actionable insights.
- Advanced Excel skills and experience using Tableau or similar data visualisation tools.
- Experience supporting budgeting, forecasting or financial performance reporting.
- Excellent communication skills, with the confidence to explain financial information to both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
- The ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- A proactive mindset and genuine enthusiasm for learning and developing within a fast-paced business.
It would be great if you also have
- Experience within insurance, financial services or a high-growth business.
- Exposure to FP&A, commercial finance or business partnering.
- Experience building dashboards or automating financial reporting.
- An interest in innovation, venture businesses or helping scale new products and services.
