Why Lovegrass?
Lovegrass Ethiopia exists to prove that food can both taste good and do good.
We work directly with Ethiopian farming communities and reinvest through our not-for-profit organisation, LEFAT, helping provide equipment, education, training and long-term agricultural support.
Our products are built around teff, an ancient Ethiopian grain naturally rich in protein, fibre, iron, magnesium, calcium and other essential nutrients.
We're passionate about keeping food simple. Some of our products contain as few as four ingredients; no artificial additives or unnecessary processing. It's just real food that is made ethically.
Whilst this role is focused on growing our UK consumer audience, Lovegrass is a proudly Ethiopian business, with teams, partners and projects operating across multiple countries. For over ten years, Lovegrass has grown profitably without a dedicated marketing function.
We're now building that function from the ground up.
This is an opportunity to join at the beginning, working directly with the Head of Marketing and helping shape the next stage of growth across social media, ecommerce, paid advertising, CRM and product launches.
We're looking for potential, curiosity and attitude over years of experience.
The Role
This is a hands-on content role focused on execution.
You will be expected to:
- Capture, edit and manage the execution of content on our social media platforms
- Manage the community on our social media platforms; replying to comments, messages, etc.
- Capture photography and product content when needed, in the form of short-form, long-from and static content
- Support product launches and campaigns from a content creation lens
- Help manage content calendars and asset libraries
- Support website and CRM content in the form of blogs and recipes

- Strong video editing ability
- Photography and content creation experience
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Good organisational skills
- Strong attention to detail

- Strong comprehension skills; able to take a brief and translate it into action
- Learns quickly and applies feedback without needing repeated direction
- Self-sufficient and proactive; able to keep projects moving forward independently

- Comfortable asking questions when needed, but not reliant on constant supervision
- Interested in both creativity and performance; wants to understand why content works, not just how it looks
- Open-minded and excited to work within a multicultural business and learn from different perspectives
We're far more interested in how you think than how many years you've worked in marketing.

Growth Opportunity
This role will report directly to the Head of Marketing and receive ongoing mentorship.
As the marketing function grows, there will be opportunities to take on greater responsibility and progress into more senior positions if you are able to demonstrate capability.
