Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a versatile and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Sandwich/Toastie Maker and All-Rounder. This role involves preparing a variety of delicious sandwiches and toasties, alongside supporting general kitchen operations. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Previous experience in food production or a culinary setting is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided.

Only applicants with previous kitchen experience will be considered!

This is a great job for the right candidate, very friendly team, fun and welcoming atmosphere!

2/3 days a week including a saturday. More hours when covering staff holiday.

This is a permanent role, an average of 18 hours per week.

EXPERIENCE IN A BUSY KITCHEN WOULD HELP GREATLY!

Basic food hygiene certificate needed.

Responsibilities

Prepare and assemble a range of sandwiches, toasties, and other hot snacks according to company recipes and standards
Ensure all food is prepared safely, hygienically, and in accordance with food safety regulations
Operate kitchen equipment such as toasters, grills, and ovens efficiently and safely
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the work area throughout shifts
Support with general food preparation tasks including chopping, slicing, and packaging ingredients
Assist with stock control by monitoring ingredient levels and notifying management of shortages
Uphold high standards of customer service by ensuring orders are completed promptly and accurately
Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during busy periods

Requirements

Previous experience in food production, food preparation.
Knowledge of cooking techniques, baking, and food safety standards
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
Flexibility to work shifts including weekends if required; however, this role primarily involves weekday hours
A positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills in a dynamic kitchen setting
Basic understanding of health and safety regulations related to food handlin
