Full job description

Job Overview: 6 week temporary role (with opportunity to join on permanent basis)

We are seeking an experienced Coffee Shop Barista who is friendly, reliable, and customer-focused Coffee Shop Assistant to join our team. Needs to be able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and willing to assist in a bit of food preparation. Being able to do latte art will be a welcomed bonus.

Key Responsibilities:

Greet and serve customers with a positive and helpful attitude
Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including specialty coffee drinks
Operate coffee machines, grinders, and other equipment safely and efficiently
Handle customer payments
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the café area, including counters, tables, and equipment
Restock shelves, fridges, and display cases with food and beverage items
Assist in receiving and organizing deliveries
Follow all health and safety guidelines and store policies
Support other team members and contribute to a positive team atmosphere

Requirements:

Previous experience in a café or customer service role.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to multitask and work under pressure
Flexibility to work varying shifts Monday to Friday 7.30am to 3.30pm.

Desirable:

Barista training or knowledge of coffee preparation techniques
Food hygiene certification

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From £12.75 per hour
