Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and skilled Light Commercial & Car Vehicle Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of light commercial vehicles and passenger cars, ensuring they operate safely and efficiently. Your expertise will help keep our fleet in top condition, providing exceptional service to our customers and supporting the smooth operation of our business. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with diverse vehicle types, utilize your mechanical skills, and grow within a vibrant automotive environment.

Duties

Diagnose mechanical issues using schematics and technical manuals to identify necessary repairs accurately
Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, brake inspections, tire rotations, and fluid replacements
Repair and replace vehicle components including engines, transmissions, suspension systems, and electrical systems
Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and assembly techniques to complete repairs efficiently
Conduct heavy lifting safely when handling large parts or equipment during repairs or maintenance tasks
Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment to ensure safe working conditions at all times
Communicate clearly with customers about repair needs, timelines, and maintenance recommendations to enhance customer service experience

Skills

Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret schematics and technical diagrams
Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and assembly techniques
Experience with vehicle maintenance, equipment repair, and routine servicing procedures
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently in a busy workshop environment
Excellent customer service skills to explain repairs clearly and build trust with clients
Knowledge of automotive electrical systems and troubleshooting methods
Capable of working independently or as part of a team in fast-paced settings while maintaining attention to detail
