As a Finance Business Partner you will take full ownership of the financial performance for specific regions within our business, giving you clear accountability and the opportunity to collaborate with key stakeholders to drive measurable success and improvements. Key responsibilities of a Finance Business Partner will include:
Connect operational understanding with financial impact to enhance decision-making
Collaborate with budget holders to identify under-performance early and address swiftly
Partner with senior operational business partners to deliver initiatives that boost profitability
Develop a deep understanding of the cost-base and spearhead opportunities for improved efficiency Reporting
Take full ownership of the month-end process for your assigned sites, ensuring management accounts are prepared accurately, insightfully, and within agreed timelines.
Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a clear and accurate understanding of the Balance Sheet and its impact on cash flow.
Continuously improve the efficiency of month-end processes by identifying opportunities for iterative enhancements and addressing inefficient working practices.
Own the budget and forecast process for partnered teams
Empower budget holders to take ownership of their financial outcomes
Ensure planning inputs are understood, with targets that are ambitious yet achievable.
Proactively identify risks and opportunities, mitigating challenges while capitalising on potential gains.
Lead by example within the finance team; have a can-do attitude, work collaboratively, show natural curiosity and a desire to problem-solve
Own the P&L for partnered teams while driving best-practice across the organisation.
Form a tight bond with other Finance Business partners and ensure learning is shared across the teams.
Skills and experience required as a Finance Business Partner:
Proven experience in commercial finance, management accounting and financial planning
Proficiency in accounting software and advanced excel
Excellent communication skills for presenting financial information to non-financial stakeholders
Accounting qualification
Experience of Netsuite (preferable) and PowerBI (not essential)
