Practice Manager

Mexborough Dental Surgery, Mexborough
£30,000 - £32,000 per year (depending on experience)
Full-time – 37.5 hours per week, including occasional Saturdays

Join Our Growing Family-Run Dental Practice

Mexborough Dental Surgery is looking for a motivated Practice Manager to join our team.

This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of the day-to-day running of a mixed dental practice while working closely with the Practice Owners to help shape the future direction of the business.

We are a family-run practice with a strong focus on patient care, staff development and continuous improvement. As our practice continues to grow, we are looking for a confident leader who can support our team, maintain high standards and help drive the practice forward.

What You'll Be Doing

You will be responsible for overseeing the daily operation of the practice, including:

Managing clinician diaries and appointment utilisation
Overseeing recall, cancellation and DNA management systems
Monitoring patient journeys and treatment follow-up systems
Managing staff rotas, holidays and absence reporting
Leading inductions, appraisals and staff development
Supporting recruitment and onboarding
Maintaining high compliance and quality standards
Monitoring key performance indicators and producing management reports
Overseeing patient experience and customer service standards
Supporting business growth initiatives and implementation of practice goals
Working closely with the Practice Owners on team management matters including capability, disciplinary and grievance procedures

About You

We are looking for someone who has:

Has excellent communication and leadership skills
Is confident managing people and supporting team development
Is willing to work closely with the practice owners and shares our vision for the practice
Enjoys problem-solving and improving systems and processes
Is passionate about delivering an excellent patient experience

The following things are not essential but are desirable

Experience using Dentally software
Has previous dental practice management experience
Has experience working within a mixed NHS and private practice environment
Understands compliance requirements within dentistry
Has a GDC number
