Full job description

Overview
We are seeking an experienced and highly organised Senior Parts Advisor to join our dynamic team, operating within the Garden, Estate and Farm machinery sector. This role involves managing parts inventory, providing exceptional customer service, and supporting the maintenance team with technical expertise. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, be proficient in organisational tasks, and have a strong understanding of automotive or machinery parts. This position offers an engaging environment where your expertise will contribute significantly to operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

Manage and maintain accurate parts inventory records using Ibcos Gold and other reposting systems
Assist customers both in person and via telephone with parts enquiries, ensuring excellent phone etiquette and communication skills
Provide technical advice on parts maintenance, compatibility, and troubleshooting to customers and internal teams
Process orders efficiently, ensuring timely delivery and proper documentation
Support the maintenance department by sourcing parts required for repairs and servicing
Organise stockroom layout for optimal accessibility and organisation of parts
Liaise with suppliers to track deliveries, resolve discrepancies, and maintain stock levels
Maintain professional communication with colleagues and customers, fostering positive relationships

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Parts Advisor or in a similar role within automotive or machinery sectors
Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively under pressure
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Competent in using Ibcos Gold for data management and reporting purposes
Demonstrated phone etiquette with the ability to handle customer queries professionally
Knowledge of maintenance procedures related to automotive or machinery parts is preferred
Ability to work well independently as well as part of a team

Working Hours

Monday - Friday: 8am to 5pm
One in three Saturdays: 8am to 12pm
Unlike many roles in the agricultural sector, this position features no on-call requirements, offering a consistent work-life balance.
