Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Playworker to join our team in Newmachar. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a safe, engaging, and inclusive environment for children during organised play activities. This role involves supervising children, facilitating fun and educational activities, and supporting their social development. The position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in childcare, teaching, or working with children in a dynamic setting. Previous experience in childcare or nannying is advantageous, but not required as training will be given.

Responsibilities

Supervise and engage children during play sessions, ensuring their safety at all times
Organise and facilitate a variety of play activities suitable for different age groups
Support children's social skills development through interactive play and group activities
Maintain a clean and organised play area, ensuring all equipment is safe and well-maintained
Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to ensure a positive experience
Assist with behavioural management when necessary, promoting respectful and inclusive behaviour
Support children with special needs or additional requirements as needed

Skills

Previous childcare experience demonstrating responsibility and nurturing qualities
Excellent communication skills to interact confidently with children, parents, and team members
Organised with the ability to plan engaging activities tailored to children's interests and developmental stages
Patience, creativity, and a genuine passion for working with children are essential qualities for success in this role

Pay: From £13.09 per hour
