Responsibilities
- Prepare, cook, and present dishes according to established recipes and standards
- Oversee the daily operations of a specific section within the kitchen, such as fish, meat, or pastry
- Ensure food safety and hygiene standards are strictly adhered to at all times
- Assist in the organisation and management of kitchen stock levels and ordering supplies as needed
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to deliver a seamless dining experience
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of workstations before, during, and after service
- Contribute to menu development by suggesting new ideas and improvements
Requirements
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and meal presentation within a professional kitchen environment
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and hygiene standards
- Previous restaurant experience is highly desirable
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team
- A genuine passion for culinary arts and continuous learning in the field of gastronomy
- Flexibility to work shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
