Job Overview
10am - 3pm
1 hour break to mirror residents routine 12pm-1pm
We are looking for a proactive and organised Activity Coordinator to help plan and deliver engaging activity programmes within care homes.
A key part of this role is helping to source, organise and coordinate specialist facilitators who will deliver unique sessions within the homes.
You will play an important role in ensuring residents have access to a variety of engaging and stimulating experiences.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will:
- plan and deliver engaging activity sessions with residents
- identify and connect with specialist facilitators such as musicians, artists and performers
- organise and schedule facilitators into the activity programme
- coordinate a rota of visiting facilitators and activity sessions
- communicate with facilitators to confirm session times and details
- help develop creative and unique activity ideas
- work collaboratively with care home staff to ensure sessions run smoothly
- support a welcoming and inclusive environment for residents

- passionate about improving wellbeing in care environments
- comfortable coordinating schedules and facilitators
Requirements
- strong organisational and communication skills
- ability to engage confidently with residents and facilitators
- reliable and professional approach
- PVG membership (or willingness to obtain one)
Experience within care environments is essential.
Activity coordination is beneficial but not essential.
