Job Overview

We are seeking a professional PCV (Passenger Carrying Vehicle) Driver to operate passenger transport vehicles safely and efficiently. The ideal candidate will possess excellent driving skills, mechanical knowledge, and strong communication abilities. This role involves delivering passengers reliably while maintaining high safety standards and providing excellent customer service. The position offers an opportunity to work within a dynamic environment, ensuring smooth and punctual transportation services. we operate school contracts and private hires

Duties

Safely operate PCV vehicles, 16 seaters only, in accordance with traffic laws and company policies
Conduct routine vehicle inspections and basic maintenance checks to ensure optimal operation
Assist passengers with boarding and alighting, providing courteous support and information as needed
Plan routes effectively to ensure timely arrivals and departures
Communicate clearly with dispatchers and passengers, addressing any queries or concerns professionally
Maintain accurate records of journeys, mileage, and vehicle condition
Follow health and safety regulations at all times to ensure a secure environment for passengers and staff

Requirements

Valid PCV (Passenger Carrying Vehicle) licence with relevant driving experience
Proven experience as a delivery driver or commercial driver, preferably with passenger transport experience
Mechanical knowledge to perform basic vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting
Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written
Excellent driving skills with a clean driving record
Ability to operate vehicles safely under varying road conditions
Good organisational skills to manage schedules efficiently
Previous experience in passenger transport or delivery roles is advantageous
Ability to work independently while maintaining high standards of safety and customer service
