Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Farm Labourer to join our agricultural team. This role involves supporting various farm operations, including crop cultivation, animal care, and equipment maintenance. The successful candidate will play a vital part in ensuring the smooth running of daily farm activities, contributing to the production of high-quality crops and livestock. This position offers hands-on experience in a dynamic rural environment and is suitable for individuals eager to develop their skills in horticulture, animal husbandry, and machinery maintenance.

Responsibilities

Performing repairs on equipment and machinery as needed, utilising mechanical knowledge and hand tools
Engaging in crop planting, harvesting, and general horticultural tasks
Caring for livestock by feeding, cleaning enclosures, and monitoring animal health
Conducting routine maintenance tasks to keep farm facilities in optimal condition
Assisting with the use of power tools for various repair and construction projects on the farm
Supporting general farm labour duties such as heavy lifting, moving supplies, and organising materials
Applying basic maths skills for measurements, calculations related to fertiliser application or irrigation scheduling

Qualifications

Mechanical knowledge and familiarity with hand tools and power tools are desirable
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently throughout the working day
Basic maths skills for measurements and calculations relevant to farming activities
Good organisational skills with an eye for detail in maintenance tasks
Physical fitness suitable for outdoor work in varying weather conditions
Willingness to learn new skills related to equipment repair and farm operations
