CONCIERGE/RECEPTION, DUNDEE SURVIVAL GROUP
We are looking for a motivated, enthusiastic individual to join our team of Reception / Concierge staff. You will be required to work both night and day shifts, 4 days on and 4 days off, making up a team of 5 Officers in total. DSG provide accommodation and housing support to Service Users who have been homeless and may be vulnerable. You will work as a team member joining a total of 18 staff, providing services to visitors at 100 Foundry Lane, Dundee, DD4 6AY. The purpose of post is to provide a safe environment for service users, staff and visitors on the premises.
The post holder will provide reception/ concierge services, fire safety and provide a professional response to emergency situations. The post holder will:
- Maintain a good personal image
- Deal with phone calls
- Post room duties
- Attend to secure entry systems
- Record and report repairs, undertake minor repairs where possible to keep environment safe, including furniture removal
- Record stock taking of appropriate goods
- Keep office and communal areas clean, neat and tidy
- Undertake fire safety procedures
- Adhere to Health & Safety and hygiene controls
- Adhere to Company policy and procedures
- Lone working with support and using initiative
- Attend staff meetings
- Attend staff training
The post holder may be required to perform duties other than those given in the job description /specification for the post. Specific duties and responsibilities pertaining to the job may vary without changing the general character of the post or the level of responsibilities.
Hours of work: 35 hours per week. You are required to work on a rota which includes weekends. You will also be required to work day and night shifts to cover for annual leave and sickness. We are flexible and willing to work around the needs of the employee’s other commitments.
Salary: £12.71 per hour
Location: Dundee
Holidays: 30 days per annum, Pro Rota
Pension: Group pension scheme based on employer contributions of 6% plus (additional 2% minimum employee contribution applies)
Conditions of service are as laid down in the Contract of Employment. Further guidance on working practices is laid down in the policy and procedure documents.
TRAINING
The Company undertakes that its Reception, Concierge officers working at DSG will undergo detailed induction and training, such as first aid, Health and Safety and conflict resolution. Training ‘on the job’ will be provided on all aspects of the work.
