Job Overview

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Sushi Chef to join our vibrant culinary team. Duties

Prepare a variety of sushi, sashimi, and other Japanese dishes with precision and artistry
Maintain high standards of food safety, cleanliness, and hygiene in all kitchen areas
Source fresh ingredients and ensure proper storage to preserve quality and freshness
Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely meal preparation and service
Assist in menu development by suggesting innovative sushi options and presentation styles
Monitor inventory levels and communicate supply needs to management
Serve dishes with professionalism, engaging with guests to enhance their dining experience

Qualifications

Proven experience in food preparation, particularly in sushi or Japanese cuisine
Strong knowledge of cooking techniques, knife skills, and ingredient handling
Prior kitchen experience in a restaurant or culinary setting is essential
Familiarity with food safety regulations and proper sanitation practices
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
Serving experience is a plus, demonstrating customer service skills in a hospitality environment
