We are hiring a Senior Cyber Security Consultant who brings technical depth, leadership capability and proven experience managing teams and customer relationships.

What you will be doing:
In this senior role, you will lead the delivery of Cyber Security engagements while supporting the development of both clients and the internal team. You will act as a trusted advisor, helping organisations understand and treat cyber risk effectively.
Key responsibilities include:
Leading cyber security assessments, maturity reviews and risk evaluations
Translating complex technical risks into clear business‑level recommendations for senior stakeholders
Designing and developing pragmatic, proportionate security improvement plans
Conducting client interviews, site visits and threat assessments
Applying recognised frameworks and standards to drive consistent delivery
Leading the production of risk assessments, reports and strategic recommendations
Identifying new opportunities and developing well‑structured, high‑quality proposals
Managing and mentoring consultants, providing oversight, guidance and performance development
Acting as the primary point of contact for key clients, ensuring strong and lasting relationships
Overseeing risk management activities across engagements, ensuring risks are prioritised and addressed
What Skills and Experience Will You Need?
Strong communication skills, with the ability to confidently brief and influence technical and non‑technical stakeholders
Excellent written and verbal communication, especially in producing clear, high‑impact deliverables
Solid understanding of technical cyber security concepts across networks, infrastructure, cloud and applications
Proven experience applying risk management frameworks in real-world environments
Significant experience in commercial sectors such as financial services, energy, telecoms, insurance, or similar
Demonstrable experience managing and developing teams, including oversight of workload, quality and delivery
Experience managing customers directly, including handling escalations, expectations and long-term relationships
Ability to work on-site with clients in the Portsmouth area at least two days per week
SC Cleared candidates are highly desirable
Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CRISC, ISO 27001 Lead Implementer/Auditor, CCSP, Security+, CySA+, NCSC CCP or GIAC (desirable but not essential).
Additional Requirements:
Due to the nature of our clients’ work, this role requires eligibility to obtain Security Check (SC) clearance.
You must be able to demonstrate the right to work in the UK.
Fluent English verbal and written communication skills are essential.
Ability and willingness to travel to client sites at least two days per week.
